Orientation Tour

The Preview Tour is to support the employee in their decision making as to whether to accept the or to decline the assignment and is carried out prior to moving to the Host Country. The orientation tour is a comprehensive tour which takes place when the employee has accepted the assignment and has arrived in the Host country. The Services are the same but take place at a different time as explained above. The tour should be a representative of the whole city including expatriate areas and should outline the advantages and disadvantages per location. Based on the needs assessment, the Partner shall support with the employee’s personal concerns and provide support. Employee shall be accompanied by a field consultant, one who is familiar with the origin cultures of the assignee and family.

Details:

  • Employee/family collected from and returned to the employee’s preferred location (hotel, office etc.)
  • Welcome Information Pack - Overview of the Country and its customs and etiquette.  Specific area information - housing market, type, typical rent, standard lease contact clauses etc., schools overview, sports and leisure facilities, places of worship, grocery stores, shopping facilities, English speaking doctors, dentists, domestic help companies, child care companies , list tradespeople and emergency numbers etc. Safety guidelines pertaining to the country and region.
  • Provide information relative to recreation and leisure options; accompanied tour of facilities when appropriate.
  • Accompanied familiarisation area tour including residential areas, schools, shopping, and a preview of representative communities and housing (i.e. medical facilities, place of worship, post office, local authority, hair dressers, tailors, landscapers and other applicable necessities).
  • Lunch Break – When possible, recommendation to the employee/family should be based on local food choices and includes the basic briefing on etiquette. (Note: Unless specifically requested by the Client and advised to the partner, lunch costs are not reimbursed).
  • Please provide a city map with hotel location clearly marked

General Tour:

  • Accompanied on tour by a trained consultant.
  • An area tour representative of the whole city including expatriate areas, advantages, disadvantages and general cultural characteristics.
  • Tour should include hospitals, transportation, local markets, parks, places of worship, leisure facilities
